Sandy Blocks Jam Unity source code is a complete color sand puzzle game for mobile. Players drag colored blocks across a grid to reach sand containers, and each block absorbs sand of its own color until it is full and disappears. Clear the whole board before the timer runs out. The project ships with 151 configured levels, a Burst-powered sand simulation, boosters and a full UI, so you can reskin it and publish your own sand puzzle game.
How the game works
Each level is a board of blocks, containers, pipes and barriers. The player moves blocks around corners and obstacles to connect them with the matching sand container. Sand falls, slides and spreads in a realistic way, which makes clearing a container very satisfying. The timer starts on the first touch, so players have to plan their moves.

Gameplay features
- Color matching: move each block to the container with the same sand color.
- Realistic sand simulation: falling, sliding and spreading sand particles for each color.
- Drag-and-drop block movement: blocks move on a grid and around corners to find the right path.
- 12 sand colors: red, yellow, orange, green, dark green, cobalt blue, cyan, purple, pink, turquoise, black and white.
- Sand pipes: pipes carry sand into containers and add new puzzle ideas.
- Timed levels: the level timer starts with the first interaction.
- Boosters and power-ups to help players pass hard levels.
- Tutorial system with guided steps and highlights for each new mechanic.
- Lives, coins and saved progress for long-term play.
- Complete UI: menus, pop-ups, level transitions, win and lose screens and revive.
- Sound, visual effects and vibration feedback.
151 levels and a level system you can extend
The game includes 151 configured levels. After the last level, progression loops back to level 34, so players can keep playing. Levels are stored as ScriptableObject data and built at runtime: the level builder creates containers, pipes, blocks, walls, barriers, colored paths and doors from that data. You can change existing levels or design new ones without rewriting gameplay code.
Technical features
- Modular architecture with separate managers for levels, input, block movement, sand simulation, sand absorption, UI, resources, audio and effects.
- Grid-based cellular automaton sand simulation running on Burst Jobs for fast particle processing.
- Fixed simulation rate of 60 steps per second for consistent sand behavior, with sleeping inactive containers to save processing.
- Addressables for loading level assets.
- Configurable settings for gameplay, simulation, absorption speed and level progression.
- Event-driven communication between gameplay systems.
Who this Unity project is for
Sandy Blocks Jam is a strong base for developers who want to publish a casual puzzle game in the popular sand sort and block jam style. You can reskin the colors and art, add new levels and mechanics, or study how an optimized particle simulation is built in Unity. Frequently asked questions
Can I publish my own game with this source code?
Yes. Reskin the game with your own name, art and branding, then publish it on Google Play or the App Store.
Can I add more levels?
Yes. Levels are data-driven, so you can edit the level data or create new levels and the level builder constructs them automatically.
How do I receive the project?
Delivery is free and every order is delivered within 24 hours of payment. If it is not delivered within 24 hours, you get a full refund.
